Melbourne's water storages are currently at: 32.7% Storages have dropped for the fourth week in a row after a week of below-average rainfall and runoff. The relatively dry conditions saw storages decrease by 0.3% of capacity, or 3.9 billion litres. The average rainfall for the week was 13.9 mm, with the major catchments receiving between 7.6 and 20.4mm. This was 27.6 % below the long-term average for the period, 19.2 mm. The volume of water flowing into the major reservoirs was also below average. The 3.7 billion litres of streamflow was 27.2% below the long-term average for this time of year, 5.1 billion litres. Melbourne households continued their thrifty water use, keeping residential consumption under the target of 155 litres per person a day for the 12th consecutive week.
